Insurance claims effect everyone

  After a disaster, insurance companies may raise every one's rates. By not filing your claim your personal rate increase is paying for every one else's damage except yours

Hail damage

  Your roof is one of the most vulnerable areas on your house. One event that is experienced by many homeowners is hail damage. While hail rarely causes lost lives, it can shatter windows, leave dents and/or holes in your siding and most importantly, damaging your roof.

I think I have hail damage what should I do?

  Left unchecked, this could cause major problems down the road. If your wondering whether or not you have, hail damage call a reputable roofing company and ask them to come out and inspect your roof. If the roofing contractor finds hail damage, they will then schedule an appointment with your insurance company. The insurance company must determine two things when assessing the amount of your loss:

 

  • Was there sufficient damage to the roof to declare it a total loss? (Usually determined by 10 verified hail hits per 100 square feet.)
